Tabcorp's Randwick TAB of the future

Tabcorp recently install a high end Flexicast install in its new Randwick 'TAB of the future'. The extensive 52 screen platform has been set up as testbed install for content and systems development and is equalled only by Tabcorp's similar 52 screen install at Star City.

The TAB area is bristling with LCDs with Odds, Results and Exotics dedicated to each meeting for the most comprehensive coverage yet seen in a Flexicast install.

Star City Casino

Brimming with all of the latest equipment, Tabcorp's Star City venue was recently launched sporting 52 Flexicast screens rimming the betting area. Spread over 3 walls of display plus above counter screens, there is no shortage of odds coverage.

While not your average TAB by any means, it does show the versitility of the Flexicast system which suits venues from 6 screens to 52 and more.

Haymarket

Haymarket, as part of the New South Wales Sky 2 upgrade, was completed last night. The venue boasts six gigantic 55 inch screens, with two being for SKY Vision and the other four dedicated to Flexicast LiveOddsTV.

The four screens showing the Flexicast LiveOddsTV displays feature intelligent use of the split screen technology. The odds displays that would normally be displayed on 15 separate screens are now displayed on only 4 screens.

Kurri Kurri Bowling Club

Following their extensive Club refurbishment and a new and modernised TAB area created ,Club management were keen to look at new concepts and initiatives. With this in mind, 30 Flexicast terminators were installed along with 30 x 32" monitors creating one of the most impressive and comprehensive TAB areas within the local and surrounding areas. The design and layout of the feature wall with its 8 Flexicast screens and its two 50" Sky 1 and 2 screens ensures customers have the most update, easy to read and vibrant information currently available. From all areas within the TAB, Flexicast information can be clearly viewed - making it easier and quicker for customers to make their selections.

Ingleburn RSL

With the club under going renovations for the SKY 2 rollout, the club decided to fit our the rest of their TAB area with an additional 17 Flexicast Terminators to compliment the new SKY2 Feature Wall.

Due to the screens being on a high bulk head they are tilted slightly forward to allow clarity when viewing. Split screen technology is also used on the larger TV's as per most venues wall space is at a premium.

Caulfield Racecourse TABARET

Caulfield Racecourse TABARET boasts one of the best TAB's in Victoria. OPEN 20 hours per day, 7 days a week. TAB has developed a large customer following with outstanding service and state of the art facilities. This TAB agency has upgraded their Odds displays and a new Feature Wall to include Flexicast TOTE and APN display screen. The super large 60-inch television gives all patrons in the TAB lounge the best view of all the races.

Diggers@Newcastle City - Mayfield Ex Services Club

Diggers have just renovated their betting area which meant repositioning their large screen as well as adding in 8 new 32" screens to their feature wall. Utilising 19 Flexicast Terminators this venue is now one of the most vibrant and modern in the area, with surrounding venues viewing their changes. The feature wall features a large 106cm SKY channel and 8 by 32" TV's. 22" screens feature on the side walls and with an area of this size the feature wall can be clearly seen from the back.

Gwandalan Bowling Club

Gwandalan Bowls Club as part of their venue refurbishment also included the TAB area. Their feature wall now includes 14 by 22" screens displaying Flexicast. With the main SKY screen in the centre, to the left the focus is all on the Next to Jump. The Next to Jump field display is split and displayed over two screens allowing punters to see this race from a distance. To the right of SKY is future races with the second Next to Jump race field again split and displayed over two screens. At the end of the TAB area is a further 6 screens all locked to location, making this the ideal set up so that staff are not required to change channels any time during the day to cover different meetings.

Honeysuckle Hotel

The Honeysuckle Hotel has recently undergone a $14.5 million transformation. With the capacity to hold up to 800 people in the bar area this Lee Wharf Hotel was a circa-1910 storage shed, and now includes a boutique pub, restaurant, outdoor deck, public forecourt, 15 gaming machines and a modern TAB.

The TAB area features 8 large screen Flexicast Formulator displays that have been designed to replace the paper wall sheets traditionally used inthe past. These new displays are in live time, so automatically update with Late Scratchings and also feature current Tote prices as well as displaying other important information like

Colour date coding of these starts to show at a glance the length of spells and how recent each run is.

Macarthur Tavern, Campbelltown

The MacArthur Tavern is one of the leading hotels in the DHI Group. Following a recent refurbishment it was decided to incorporate Flexicast LiveOddsTV into the venue, but rather than use the standard landscape displays, 4 by 42"screens in portrait mode would be used.

Two screens also use the split screen technology to with one showing the 3rd Next to Jump and Hot Picks whilst the other is a 3 way split showing the paying results for the last three races. The other two screens show the 24 runner 1st and 2nd Next to Jump.

Jamison Hotel

The Jamison Hotel Sports Bar has recently undergone a major transformation as part of the Bet Live Bet Now trial. Multiple sports TV screens are surrounded by 10 Flexicast Bet Live screens displaying current odds of games in progress or odds for future games. A great place to watch a game whilst being able to bet on the game at the same time.

Burwood Inn Hotel

Under new management and ownership a decision was made to upgrade the Burwood Inn's TAB area. Even though they are only a small TAB with a kiosk by the clever addition of a couple of large TV's they were able to enhance the experience for their punters by using the Flexicast split screen technology. With a ratings and the APN to the left of the SKY channel, 4 screens following the Next to Jump and Locked to Location for SMBA on the far right hand screen, again using the split screen display, this now becomes a total solution for small venues.

Dubbo RSL

The Dubbo RSL club has just upgraded to Flexicast display on 12 screens. As they have two separate areas, the other area with 7 screens is replicated using VGA splitters. This economical way allows all screens to be fully populated with minimum cost.

Royal Randwick Race Course

The AJC are in the process of upgrading facilities at Randwick and have so far upgraded 56 screens in the non-members area called 'The Shannon Room' as well as screens servicing TAB counters in the members area as well as ad-hoc use in corporate marquis during carnivals, including the Tabcorp marquis at the '09 Autumn carnival. In the Shannon room, due to bulkhead space and access limitations, some of the screens are driven more than 120 metres from the Terminator using VGA Baluns over Cat5e cabling.

Forbes Inn

Despite its regional location, the forward looking management of the Forbes Inn have recently built a stunning TAB area bristling with massive Flexicast Screens. The venue sports 11 massive 42 inch LCD screens powered by Flexicast along with another 10 x 26 inch screens providing patrons in both indoor and outdoor areas the ultimate betting area. By combining large screens with Flexicast's superior readability clients in outdoor areas are still able to see the indoor screens. This helps to mitigate the impact of smoking bans on TAB and bar turnover in Pub & ClubTAB venues.

Wentworth Park Greyhound Track

Flexicast Terminators have now replaced the old teletext displays on all screens at Wentworth Park. Our system now drives over 80 screens that show vibrant modern displays with animated indicators and highlights making the most of the modest screen sizes in use. The displays are replicated on the different levels using VGA splitters and baluns covering an enormous floor area.

South Sydney Graphic Arts Club

Located in Mascot, the South Sydney Graphic Arts Club has under gone a total renovation both inside and outside. Included in this was the upgrading of their TAB displays to now include 21 screens powered by Flexicast Terminators.

Five Dock TAB Agency

This TAB agency upgraded their Feature Wall to include 8 Flexicast display screens. Using Flexicast Terminators to replace the old TabText displays, screens were upgraded and as can be seen in the photos, Flexicast's unique split screen technology can be seen on several screens. This technology is used to provide composite channels comprising either 4 pages or 2 pages on to 1 screen, thus where space is limited more information can be displayed on less screens.
